Swaminarayan- Majesty of Lord Swaminarayan
Shitaldas becomes Vyapakanand Swami by realizing Majesty of Lord

Shitaldas, who was later initiated as Vyapkanand Swami by Lord Swaminarayan, had
left home and was a follower of Ramanand Swami and believed him to be God. When
Ramanand Swami passed away, Shitaldas decided to go back to his village since
Ramanand Swami, whom he thought was God had returned to his abode. But Lord
Swaminarayan told him that God was still present amongst the devotees and had
not gone anywhere.
Later Maharaj started sending many souls into
trance merely by touching them or looking at them or by the sound of His
footsteps etc and thus many people developed faith that He was God. However
Shitaldas was not convinced. So Maharaj sent him into a trance. In the trance
Shitaldas saw all the 24 incarnations, Ramanand Swami and Maharaj. In the trance
Maharaj said to Shitaldas, take as many forms as the incarnations and do their
‘pooja’ (worship) and meet them.
Shitaldas asked how he could assume so many
forms. So Maharaj said call each incarnation by their name and ask that if that
incarnation is the cause of all incarnations then may you assume as many forms
as present. So Shitaldas asked the incarnations he thought to be the cause of
all incarnations, but was not able to assume many forms. So Maharaj finally said
to him that now calling my name, say that if this Maharaj is the cause of all
incarnations then may I assume many forms. As soon as Shitaldas said that, he
assumed many forms of himself and performed worship of each incarnation
including Maharaj and Ramanand Swami. He then saw all the incarnations and
Ramanand Swami merging into Maharaj. Later, even Shitaldas merged into Maharaj.
Waking up from this trance Shitaldas was now fully convinced of Lord
Swaminarayan’s greatness
