Lord Swaminarayan redeems Ajubhai, his friend and their generations

A devotee of Shreeji Maharaj, called Ajubhai once invited Maharaj to grace the wedding of his friend’s son. Maharaj agreed and left for the wedding together with His saints and devotees. When they got to the wedding Shreeji Maharaj blessed Ajubhai’s friend and also garlanded the bridegroom.

When the wedding was over, one of the saints requested Maharaj for leave as they had to perform the evening aarti and other evening rituals/recitals. So Maharaj was just about to leave when Ajubhai’s friend requested Maharaj to stay and perform the aarti and the other rituals/recitals at their house. Maharaj was very pleased and asked the saints to perform the aarti there. They also sang the ‘Ram Krishna Govind…’praises and the chestha ‘pratham Shree Hari charne re….’.

Shreeji Maharaj then initiated the bridegroom and his father into the Swaminarayan faith . Then Maharaj said to Ajubhai, “Ajubhai you are very lucky, three generations of your friend’s family will achieve My Akshardhaam (Highest abode) and satsang (association with saintly people) will forever remain in their generations to come and they will be devoted to Me and will all finally be redeemed and will return to My abode!”. Additionally Maharaj said “ And all the fruits of their salvation will go to you Ajubhai”.

How merciful Lord Swaminarayan is, can be shown by the incident above. Due to the association of Ajubhai, He completely redeemed His devotee’s friend and the rest of his generations. Not only that He also then promised the fruits of causing such redemption to Ajubhai! We should always realise the importance of associating with saintly people. Not only are our sins washed away but our deeds become pure too and we attain the service of our favourite Lord, Lord Swaminarayan.
